    Bullet

The first time I saw Bullet's pictures on your web site, I knew it - this is my future Husky!

The entire adoption process was smooth as though everything was meant to be. Right on our first meeting I decided that Bullet is going home with me that evening. Since that day, life just changed for both of us, for the better.

The initial stages of our getting-to-know each other wasn't easy. But together we worked on it. We have one-on-one training at home. Bullet attended a basic obedience class with puppies at 8 years old. After two years of not being socialized, Bullet started making friends with other Huskies - and in fact, happily goes hiking with other Huskies. He can manage a few large dogs in a dog park. Bullet goes to doggy day camps and plays with a few friends. He has made a lot of progress.

A few more sweet things Bullet has learned: He snuggles with me when it's cold or if I'm not feeling well. He accompanies me in my after work power naps. He checks on me if I slow down during our runs. He happily rides in the car wherever the road takes us. In our 1.5 years together, our bond has grown deeper and stronger. He has been a joy and blessing to me; Bullet is my "loved" baby!!!

North Star, to all your staff, I'll always be thankful for your efforts!

    Sterling

Hi! My name is Sterling. I am the one in the middle. About 2 months ago North Star let my new family adopt me. I have 2 great sisters to play with, good food, a big yard, and lots of love.

We go everywhere we can with Mom and Dad, and get a 3 mile walk almost every day. I have gained 4 pounds and really like it here. Thank you North Star for making all 5 of us happy!

    Zane

    Hello,

I wanted to share an adoption success story with you. I adopted Morrison (formerly Zane) from you at the end of November 2011. Not much was known about his past before he was adopted, but it was safe to say that he was not socialized with people and may have been abused.

He has been a handful but he has made so much progress since I rescued him almost a year ago. He spends his weekdays at doggy daycare amongst friends, we go to the dog park several times a week and do a few hikes a month too. Needless to say, he is most at home with other dogs and being able to stretch his long legs.

I just wanted to say thank you for giving this big guy a second chance at life and allowing me to give him a second chance as well!

    Rawlins

    Dear North Star-

Just an update of our beautiful son, Raleigh (formerly Rawlins). He is quite settled and is a happy, playful Husky!  He has a new brother, Juno, and it is like they were never separated.

They fill the house, our lives, and our hearts. We love them and we are loved in return.
